ABOUT YOU

We are seeking a highly motivated JavaScript (React/TypeScript) Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, with expertise in JavaScript frameworks like React and TypeScript. A keen eye for detail, a passion for creating seamless user experiences, and an understanding of responsive design principles are crucial for this role. The position offers a hybrid working model with remote work flexibility, requiring at least one day per week at our Central London office.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write high-quality reusable code to develop the dynamic user interface for various platforms
  • Refactor, rewrite and improve legacy component code
  • Collaborate with project managers, senior developers, and business partners for work planning, sharing new ideas, code demonstrations, troubleshooting, and bug fixing
  • Collaborate closely with design teams to translate Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD prototypes into efficient and visually appealing web applications.
  • Implement best practices in on-page SEO techniques to enhance website visibility and ranking.
  • Provide technical expertise to aid in wireframing and concept creation.
  • Offer insights and recommendations to clients regarding optimal technology stacks and software solutions.
  • Optimise front-end elements to maximise performance across different devices and browsers
  • Assist team members in architectural compliance, functional accuracy validation, and adherence to appropriate industry standards
  • Keep a record of the status and progress of assigned tasks to project teams and managers

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience working in front-end development
  • Demonstrable portfolio showcasing React/TypeScript-based web applications.
  • Extensive experience in developing web-based UIs using JavaScript, React.js, and/or Typescript
  • Proficiency in popular React tools such as webpack, Redux, Flux, Storybook, Next.js, etc.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with debugging problems using appropriate tools
  • Knowledge of object-oriented principles, design patterns, and software designing and architecture best practices
  • Adherence to in-house code standards.

 

 

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in live events or ticketing platforms
  • Expertise in e-commerce platform solutions
  • Experience using headless CMSes (Contentful, Strapi, etc.)
  • Practical knowledge of APIs and REST endpoints
  • Working knowledge of MySQL and NoSQL databases
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO and web optimisation principles.
  • Unit testing experience
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as GIT, along with CI/CD workflows
  • Knowledge of back-end technologies
